Football for Girls
Boroughmuir Thistle is an exciting football club based at Meggetland Sports Complex, Colinton Road, Edinburgh.boroughmuir_fc_promo.png We are an open, fun, friendly community club which provides exciting activities and superb facilities to meet the aspirations of all female footballers.

We have £2 pay and play training sessions every Wednesday. So if you’re female, aged from P4 to adult and interested in taking up football, improving your skills or sharpening your competitive edge then:

  • Come along on Wednesday nights
  • Register online or at your first training session

  • Players born from 1997 to 2000
    • Restart with Meggetland Astro Wednesdays 18:00 to 19:30 from 23 July
  • U13 (for Season 08_09)  - players born 1996
    • Restart with Meggetland Astro Wednesdays 18:00 to 19:30 from 23 July
  • U15 (for season 08_09) - players born 1994-95
    • Restart with pre-season week at Meggettland Astro, 4th August, from 10:00
  • U17 (for Season 08_09)  - players born 1992-93
    • Restart with Meggetland Astro Wednesdays 18:00 to 19:30 from 23 July
    • Also  pre-season week at Meggettland Astro, 4th August, from 10:00
  • Scottish Womens Premier League Division 2 Adult team
    • Continue at Harrison Park (grass) Wednesdays 9th & 16th July at ##
    • Then Mondays at Saughton Astro from 19:00 to 21:00 from July  21st
    • And Wednesdays at Saughton Astro from 19:30 to 21:30 from July 23rd
  • Scottish Womens Premier League team (by invitation only)
    • Mondays & Wednesdays (until July 16th) at Holyrood Park (grass) 18:30 to 20:30
    • Mondays at Craigmount Astro 18:45 to 20:15 from ##
    • Wednesdays at Saughton Astro from 19:30 to 21:30 from July 23rd
  • Bring your boots (for grass), shin pads and water bottle
  • Be prepared to have fun
